I felt compelled to do this 'quick' tutorial after completely falling in love with this easily created effect. It adds a simple and elegant touch if you're wanting a subtle, yet striking look! It also works on most surfaces that can take paint, not just leather. Imagine the possibilities! :D

It's also fun to see how one can take the natural leather surface and make it look completely different than what it's actually made of.

Feel free to leave any questions and comments! I am no master of leather-working (yet!), so my methods may not be the best.

Would there be a way to do this without leather? I need leather alternatives because I'm vegan but I just have no idea what would replicate leather well -_____-

I don't think so. Maybe you can research vegan tooling leather? I don't know of any off the top of my head, unfortunately.

I really love the result of this little project <3

What I wanted to ask is... could you link me any good tutorials on how t shape the mask and make the engravings? I really want to start working with leather, too. And though I might try something simple like a bracelet first. But I really couldn't find any good tutorials, except for engrying... but not really something on shaping leather *sighs*
