The first of many masks created for my display at this year's DragonCon! Sadly, many of the items sold before I could grab good photos of them. This particular mask is still looking for a good home, however! Because I'm not sure I can find a cool key like this again, it is one-of-a-kind.

What secrets will you keep when you don the mask of The Keeper?

Stamping was used to give the keyhole a different texture with matte varnish painted over the 'hole' so to make it stand out from the rest of the mask, which was made to gleam slightly with semi-gloss varnish.

A faux antique key has been attached by heavy brass copper chain to the mask via jump rings and hangs just below the collar bone. The backside of the mask is lined in key spots with moleskin for comfort. Signed and dated by the artist

All shaped, carved, and painted by hand from leather with acrylics! It is not recommended to dunk this item in water.

Somone should attempt this idea in a metallic project for maximum effect.

That sounds like it would be awesome! Always did wish I had the space/money to do some metalsmithing.

I like it! I did a somewhat similar thing on a mask a couple months ago.
